Why visit?
Changbaishan Mountain which means ‘ever white’ in Chinese is said to be the most beautiful mountain in northeast China. The mountain remains white all year long, partly because of the pumice stones that cover its slopes. However, the whiteness is also caused by snow, which engulfs the peak of the mountain from November through to June. During winters, thick ice covers the surfaces of rivers and lakes, adding more serenity to the landscape.
How to get there?
