Why visit?
Detian waterfall is a worth place to visit in Daxin county. Its cascading falls where water rushes down a three-tiered cliff with tremendous force makes it the largest waterfall in Asia, and the second largest transnational waterfall in the world.
The waterfall is over 120 meters in width and 60 meters in depth and is a fall of over 70 meters to the bottom of the cliff. It joins with the Banyue Waterfall of Vietnam and creates a waterfall of over 200 meters long. This awe-inspiring waterfall falls in three steps and the gurgling sound of water can be heard of even miles of away.
It constantly changes its natural scenery with changing seasons. The surroundings turn in flame-red colors when new buds sprout on kapok trees. While in autumn months, the area surrounds the waterfall turns golden-yellow, creating a harvest scene. Summer is considered as optimum time when water of falls flows with momentum force. As a whole, Detain waterfall is a year round destination that appears to be a sculpture made by nature.
