
The Shanghai Tourism Festival, one of the major highlights of Shanghai’s events that is held annually will kick off on September 15th. The festival will begin with a bang, of fireworks, float parades, concerts and special walking tours of Huai Hai Road, Heng Shan Road, and Shanghai’s alleys.
Other events taking place as part of this month-long program include the music fireworks festival at Century Park, the Chinese festival at You Garden and a special demonstration of the traditional rose wedding ceremony.

The Shanghai Shopping Festival that includes sales exhibitions of overseas goods and shopping opportunities for products with traditional brands well-known in the country is the main attraction of this year’s festival.
Also, check out night bus tours of the city’s best views, and tours of the residences of historic Shanghainese figures. Get a taste of local culture at the Jin Jiang Food World, where the 21 hotels managed by the Jin Jiang group that offers all manner of local specialties.

This festival offers a huge amount of traditional entertainment across the city. Shanghai is a great place to visit any time, but if you visit during this festival, you are sure to get distinctive Shanghai flavor.
The festival lasts from September15 through mid-October.
