Unbelievable! Going by the recently released images taken from the NASA Shuttle, the Lord Rama-supervised legendary ‘vanara sena’ or monkey army-constructed bridge still stands! The bridge was constructed during the ‘tretha yuga’ (i.e. more than 17,00,000 years ago) by the monkey army to enable Lord Rama, his brother Laxman, Hanuman and all the monkeys to cross over to Sri Lanka from Rameshwaram. This was done to rescue Lord Rama’s wife Sita who had been kidnapped by the demon king Ravana.
The 30-km-long bridge, now called Adam’s Bridge or Rama’s Bridge , is made of shoals, and lies in the Palk Strait between India and Sri Lanka. From the look of it, the bridge looks man made. Also, archaelogical studies reveal that the first traces of existence of human beings in Sri Lanka or Ceylon dates back to about 17,50,000 years or in other words, the primitive age.

Yea, OK. But if the era of the Vedas be the ’Satya Yuga” it was only about 5000 years ago in the Indus valley. How can the ’Threta Yuga’ be 1750000 years ago. Don;t you think there are three extra zeroes? ;)
