
It has been part of and a witness to history. From the 5th century protector of empire boarders until its satellite photos, the Great wall in China is China’s well-known landmark. It is the world’s largest man-made structure, is estimated at over 5,000 kilometres (3,100 miles) in length.
Lost in history much about the great wall remains a mystery. Archaeologists hope to unravel its mode of construction and get its accurate length.The survey will be conducted in 13 provinces, autonomous regions and municipality, including Beijing, Hebei, Shanxi, Gansu and Inner Mongolia.
The Study has to be carried out under the aegis of State Administration of Cultural Heritage and the State Bureau of Surveying and Mapping.
A definite attraction for tourists the heritage of the Great wall in China needs to be preserved.
