
The Malaysia International Aerospace Adventure 2007 (MIA) will be held in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia from 5th June-7th August 2007. It is one of the five major events on Visit Malaysia 2007 tourism campaign. It will feature the US$2 billion Russian space shuttle BURAN (snowstorm in Russian) measuring 36 meters and a wingspan of 24 meters and a weight of 105 tone. It can blast off into space in less than 60 seconds.
The event will be hosted at terminal 1 Sultan Aziz Shah Airport, Subang, opening from 10a.m to 10 p.m with last entry at 8 p.m. A tour will last 2 hrs that will include Cineplex, launch experience, space artifact gallery, astronaut training show, lunar landing show, astronaut fitness test, mars exploration besides simulators etc.
Tickets are priced at Adults $14/Rm48 and children 3ys-12ys at $8/RM28. No photos are allowed but souvenir passport is issued and merchandise such as key chains, t-shirts, caps etc are available. The MIA site was poorly prepared with tour package and visual tour failed to open at all although the games were interesting.
